Shipping Methods

Olive Tree by Terzakis, based in Heraklion, Crete, ships throughout Greece and abroad via partner courier and transport companies.

Orders are prepared and dispatched for shipment within 1–3 business days from payment confirmation.

The delivery time mentioned below is indicative and may vary depending on:

  • the destination area,
  • transport conditions,
  • the availability of transport means,
  • weather conditions,
  • any strikes, holidays, or force majeure events.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically upon order completion.

1. Shipping Areas & Estimated Delivery Times

Crete: 1–2 business days
Mainland Greece (rest): 2–4 business days
Greek Islands: 3–5 business days
European Union Countries: 5–10 business days

For shipments outside Greece, customs duties, taxes, or other charges may apply, which are solely the responsibility of the recipient.

2. Packaging & Product Nature

Olive Tree by Terzakis products include live plants (bonsai olive trees). For this reason:

  • Special care is taken for their secure packaging.
  • Plants are shipped in a way that maintains proper moisture and stability during transport.
  • Shipment may be intentionally delayed during periods of extreme weather conditions (high temperatures, frost, etc.), solely for the protection of the plant.

The company reserves the right to postpone the shipping date if it is deemed that transport conditions may jeopardize the plant’s good condition.

3. Transport Responsibility

From the moment the order is handed over to the transport company:

  • Transport responsibility lies with the carrier.
  • The customer receives a tracking number to monitor the shipment.
  • Olive Tree by Terzakis is not responsible for delays, damages, or losses exclusively attributable to the transport company.

In case of visibly damaged packaging upon receipt, the customer must immediately declare it to the carrier and contact the company within 24 hours.

4. Important Information for Live Plants

Due to the nature of the products (live plants), minor variations in appearance, soil moisture, or leaf condition after transport are considered normal and do not constitute a product defect.
