The products of Olive Tree by Terzakis are live plants (olive bonsai) and are classified as perishable goods, which can be damaged or directly affected by transport, temperature, and environmental conditions.
For this reason, according to Article 3ib of Law 2251/1994 on consumer protection, the right of withdrawal (return due to change of mind) does not apply to these specific products.
1. Cases in which returns are accepted
Product return or replacement is accepted only in the following cases:
- The product was delivered visibly damaged due to transport
- The product was delivered defective due to packaging
- A proven error occurred in the execution of the order by the company
2. Problem Reporting Procedure
The customer must:
- Inspect the product upon receipt.
- In case of a problem, contact the company within 24 hours of receipt.
- Send photographic material proving the damage to the product and its packaging.
Requests submitted after 24 hours from receipt cannot be examined, as it is not possible to determine if the damage resulted from transport conditions or subsequent plant care.
3. Responsibility After Delivery
After successful delivery of the product to the customer:
- Responsibility for the plant’s care, watering, and environmental conditions is transferred to the customer.
- Normal changes in the plant’s appearance due to transport (e.g., slight leaf drop, change in soil moisture) do not constitute a defect.
4. Resolution Method
If fault is found during transport, packaging, or order execution, Olive Tree by Terzakis reserves the right to choose one of the following resolution methods:
- Product replacement
- Refund
- Credit for a future purchase
The choice is made at the reasonable discretion of the company, depending on the nature of the problem.
5. Exceptions
Returns are not accepted in the following cases:
- Customer’s change of mind
- Incorrect plant care after receipt
- Delay in customer pickup from the courier’s distribution point
- Damage caused after delivery
